Westpunt is located in the far northwest of the island and is the second largest city in Curaçao. Landowners used to rule around Westpunt, where slaves worked on the various plantations. Westpunt was founded in 1860 by the freed slaves. Some country houses and slave homes can be visited, highly recommended and impressive!
